Throwback Thursday: Estelle

Throwback Thursday: Estelle

April 17, 2014 | Daniella & Letisha Jones-Ellis

Your UK artist turned American Girl has a new video!

With her latest track release ‘Make Her Say (Beat It Up)’ causing listeners to talk, the visual is about to emphasise the intensity and more as the Chris Robinson directed video continues to play on Estelle’s risqué lyrical subject.

Taken from volume three of her EP Love & Happiness: How Stella Got Her Groove Back, Estelle spoke about the choice of topic in sexual empowerment.

“This song is a part of a whole statement on what it means to be in a real relationship, on your terms,” she said. “It represents ownership and embracing all of yourself as a human, plus good sex is always necessary.”

As we await Estelle’s next studio album later this year, you can get your free mixtape which is available today, plus here’s a throwback tune with Estelle’s ‘Freak’, featuring Kardinall Offishall.
