Throwback Thursday: LL Cool J

August 14, 2014 | Daniella & Letisha Jones-Ellis

LL Cool J has a music career spanning 30 years and to say that he has accomplished many heights in his career is certainly an understatement! With history in films, TV programmes, fashion designing and writing, the noteable rapper continues to work even harder today to give the best results to his growing and dedicated fanbase.

His latest work in the music industry is a collaboration with Raekwon and Murda Mook, titled ‘I’m Nice’, which will serve as a teaser for his upcoming album, G.O.A.T. 2. The first edition of Greatest Of All Time was released back in 2000 and now, 14 years later the follow-up was anticipated by many as soon as his album title was announced. G.O.A.T. was also LL’s first album to reach the number one spot on the Billboard charts with hits such as ‘Imagine That’ featuring LeShaun and ‘You and Me’ with Kelly Price.

Features on the album also included Ja Rule, Kandice Love, DMX, Redman, Method Man, Carl Thomas, Snoop Dogg, Xzibit, Jayo Felony, Prodigy (Mobb Deep), Funkmaster Flex and Case, so who do you think will be set for collaborations this time around, following the recent track – The Hustler – with Mavado?

Only time will tell. Here’s a throwback, ‘Around The Way Girl’.
