Throwback Thursday: Mis-Teeq

Throwback Thursday: Mis-Teeq

April 3, 2014 | Daniella & Letisha Jones-Ellis

With UK talent series Britain’s Got Talent returning to our screens April 12th, we thought we’d turn our attention to one of the judges on the panel, who boasts skills in business areas of music, beauty, television and most recently, motherhood.

Of course we’re talking about Ms Alesha Dixon. Sometimes it’s hard to remember that although this lady is comfortable expressing her opinions and advice on talent acts on screen, she started out as one member of music trio Mis-Teeq.

Being the singer and energetic MC of the group, Alesha, along with Zena McNally, Su-Elise Nash and Sabrina Washington, the girls branched out into genres of rnb, hip-hop, dance and UK garage, giving them a varied audience in their seven years together.

With three studio albums, a complilation cd, MOBO Award wins, a solo career was to follow for Alesha after the group’s split, which saw her produce three albums of her own, launch a fragrance and become a judge on the ITV show Britain’s Got Talent alongside Simon Cowell, David Walliams and Amanda Holden.

Here’s Mis-Teeq with your throwback in ‘All I Want’.
