March 5, 2014 | Daniella & Letisha Jones-EllisFashion model Cara Delevingne is certainly living the high-life, as she has successfully featured on many catwalks to represent the clothes of designers such as Chanel, Moschino, Zara and being the face of Burberry and more recently, Mulberry.
She is doing incredibly well as a model, but she also loves to act. “Modelling is a great job, and I appreciate everything it has brought me, but it’s not my passion,” said Cara. “As far back as I can remember I’ve wanted to act. We were going through all these old home videos recently, which I’d never seen before, and there were shots of me acting on a mocked-up stage.”
Acting is an essential part of a model’s life, especially when filming advertisements, so she knows what it takes to be in front of the camera. In the past, Cara has had small parts in movies and has been featured in the Grand Theft Auto V video game, but now is the time for her first major acting role as part of Sky Arts’ comedy and drama strand Playhouse Presents.
Her appearance will be part of a series of 30 minute one-off comedies and dramas. ‘Cara stars as Chloe, a young woman reluctantly looking after her great-grandmother while her mother and grandmother are on a cruise. It is described by insiders as an ‘engaging tale of love, loss and hope”.
The series starts on May 1st and Cara’s episode will be aired on June 19th in an episode called Timeless.
