November 6, 2017 | D&LProducer, songwriter and rapper, Piers James, creates sounds inspired by his own life experiences and journey and keeping with this, he has just released a deeply personal and heartfelt tribute.
‘Lost Ones’ was written in loving memory of a family friend, Gemma Cranfield, who lost her battle to kidney cancer earlier in October. A song about loss and dealing with bereavement, the track was released on November 1st, 2017, the day of Gemma’s funeral.
Opening with a touching vocal section, underpinned by sombre keys, the song reminds us that life is short and you never know when your last goodbye will be. He also leaves us with a message to appreciate and love your family and friends.
Released with the intention of helping anyone going through the loss of a loved one, James has also revealed that the proceeds from the song will go to Gemma’s son Joshua and her family.
